Mabel Pines was born to Mr. and Mrs. Pines on a sweltering summer day on August 31th, 1999, in Piedmont, California, just five minutes before her twin brother Dipper. What she lacked in academic excellence she made up for with her creativity and heart, making quick friends with nearly everyone she met — acting as a sort of buffer between the outside world and Dipper’s crippling social anxiety. Gravity Falls Oregon was no different; Mabel adjusted easily to summer life with her Great Uncle Stan, finding the change of pace exciting with endless possibilities — plus there were all sorts of cute boys coming through!

The distance pains her, but she doesn't that that get in her way; she's got art projects to create and cute people to date! She works from home, running various online stores where she sells acrylic jewelry and custom made sweaters for a living, as well as pet clothing. Whenever Dipper is in town, though, all plan revolve around his trip - so you bet she's going ghost hunting or whatever with DipDop and his little nerd friends!

VERSES.

..........WELCOME TO GRAVITY FALLS / follows show canon. Twelve year old Mabel travels up north to the sleepy town of Gravity Falls, Oregon with her twin brother Dipper to spend the summer with their Great Uncle ( or more affectionately called "Grunkle" ) Stan at his roadside tourist trap "The Mystery Shack". While Dipper was busy hammering up signs to draw in potential customers in the middle of the forest, he stumbles upon a journal hidden beneath a trap door, within which describe strange and wonderous, even fantastical things that sound like nothing but the ramblings of a madman. At first, the oddity of the town was manageable — fun, even! — but soon Dipper and Mabel both realized they were in over their heads. Conspiracies, government agents, and the all seeing eye of a dream demon watching their every move. It was all planned, far before the twins were even born, that they would participate in, create, and ultimately prevent the end of the world headed by a God of Nightmares. The promise of a little more summer was all it took for Mabel to tip the scales out of their favor, but the kindness of her family reminded her what was truly important.

..........I'M BEING WATCHED / 10 years after canon. She'd never admit it out loud, but California wasn't the same after that. Nothing felt the same after what happened the summer of 2012, and in a way she felt trapped in a life of mundanity. Every summer since, the Pines twins take a trip up to Gravity Falls, to tromp through the forest the same way they did when they were children, relishing in the mystery of it all. When the summer is over, Mabel returns to her little studio apartment tucked away in the city of San Francisco where she goes to art school and sells her art online for work. There's a hidden box in her closet, one that not even Dipper has laid eyes on. Inside is full of art, horrible depictions of decay and anarchy, of destruction and a multicolored kaleidoscopic view of the end of the world. In the middle of all the ruin floats a familiar shape of yellow, the same shape that haunts her every time she closes her eyes. Is it her fault? Is the mental scars Dipper sustained from Weirdmageddon all her fault?
